Your stay at L’Ancienne École in Troche: charges, house rules and cancellation. Please keep these terms with your booking confirmation.

Charges and security deposit

The rental price and minimum stay are shown in the booking calendar and your booking summary. Final cleaning costs €175. Linen costs €15 per person, once per booking: beds are made and each guest receives a bath towel and a hand towel. Dogs cost €35 per dog for the entire stay.

The refundable security deposit is €250 and is shown separately in your booking summary. After departure and inspection of the house, it is returned by bank transfer, less any additional charges or damage costs.

Tourist tax is calculated separately in the booking summary; children under 18 are exempt.

Electricity costs €0.35 per kWh above the included allowance of 25 kWh per day, averaged over the stay. The meter is in the basement under the stairs and is read automatically. Wireless internet (300 Mbps) is included.

Extra bed linen and towels may be used. Washing, drying and ironing these costs €45 per washing-machine load (minimum 20 kg), deducted from the deposit. You may also wash and dry them yourself using the washing machine and dryer in the basement.

Arrival, departure and the house

Check-in is from 16:00; check-out is by 10:00. Other times may be agreed with the owner. The calendar shows the minimum stay and permitted arrival and departure days.

Leave the house, garden and outdoor terraces swept clean and tidy on departure. If the cleaning team has a disproportionate amount of additional work, extra hours may be charged at €25 per hour.

Take good care of the property and leave it as you found it. Prevent damage and nuisance. Moving furniture is not permitted.

The gardener may visit to mow the lawn and maintain the swimming pool, among other tasks. Please allow access for this work. Contact the owner for the schedule.

Dogs

Only well-behaved dogs are permitted. Please prevent odours and dog hair affecting subsequent guests. Dogs are not allowed on the bedroom floor or on beds. Bring your own cloths or blankets to cover the sofa. Additional cleaning hours may be charged.

Damage and guest liability

The hirer is jointly and severally liable during the rental period for damage to the property caused by the hirer and/or members of their party. This also includes material and non-material damage and reputational harm caused by improper behaviour in and around the property, including noise nuisance.

Report any damage to the owner immediately. Do not carry out repairs yourself. Repair or replacement costs will be charged. In the event of intentional damage, an additional charge of €250 may be applied for the extra work involved.

Damage costing less than €25 that is reported immediately will not be charged.

Owner liability

The hirer shall not hold the owner liable for damage arising from an accident during the stay in or around the property. This expressly includes accidents in or around the swimming pool and while using it. If you consider anything in or around the property insufficiently safe, inform the owner immediately by telephone.

Travel insurance

Arrange suitable travel insurance and check with your insurer whether damage to a rented holiday home is covered. The booking date can be relevant when taking out cancellation insurance; if required, arrange this immediately after booking.

Cancellation
